In the process of coaching, one of the more valuable techniques is the correction of faulty techniques which distract from the best performance. It is the purpose of this thesis to bring together from authoritative sources and observation some of the more common errors of technique, which make for faulty performance in eight track and field events.

Noteworthy contributions in the field of church-home cooperation in religious education are seen in the church school curriculum of the Character Research Project at Union College, Schnectady, New York, of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. and of the Episcopal Church. These contributions to the field of church-home relationships are described and analysed in Chapter III.

California Schools have experienced an unprecedented growth during the past several years. Enrollments in many school districts within the state have more than doubled since the end of World War II.

It took California ninety years to enroll its first million children in school in 1940. It took only thirteen years to enroll the second million in 1953. It will take only an estimated five years to enroll the third million by 1958.1 Practically every California school system, therefore, is faced with the continuing problem of providing more classrooms to house these new pupils.
