A140: Comparing Perceived Exercise Benefits Between Exercising And Non-Exercising College Students, Yanli Pang, Cunnian Xia, Yue Xia

International Journal of Physical Activity and Health

Purpose: Regular exercise leads to physiological and psychological benefits. University is a key venue to promote physical activity behavior in young adults. However, it is reported nearly 50% Chinese college students are not reaping the benefits due to insufficient amount of exercise. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate what challenges prevent college students from exercising. Thus, this study was to assess perceived exercise benefits and barriers in Chinese college students and compare the differences between students do exercise and who do not.
