According to the Chicago Center for Teaching, “planning a course is arguably the key ingredient in pedagogical success.” A great metaphor for course design is like planning a trip to some place you have never gone before. To get there efficiently, a good road map is a must; because without one the driver may end up there eventually but not without detours and missed directions.
