ABSTRACT

This project is focused on using online materials to motivate beginning level adult ESL students. This project’s rationale was the great challenge that many educators faced during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. All courses have been moved online; both teachers and students feel anxiety about learning and staying healthy. In language study, when the language anxiety becomes higher, the study outcomes become worse. Stress impacts the learners’ affective filter, the mental block that impedes learners’ full use of comprehensible input.
