Bringing Teaching To Life: Using Multimedia To Engage And Empower Students, Nonofo Losike-Sedimo

The perspective taken in this paper is that technology is a powerful tool for aiding in university instruction but not as an end in itself. Therefore, institutions can use it to empower and engage students for intellectual, emotional, social and economic development. The paper presents the results of a study on the impact of simulations and virtual reality on university students‘ achievement and their attitude. These are then discussed in the context of specific media characteristics.
