Rudy Keeling begins his second season with the Black Bears hoping his recruiting efforts will establish a foundation on which to build a successful basketball program at Maine. Last season, Keeling brought in three freshmen, each of whom conributed significantly at different times during the season. This season, Keeling welcomes five newcomers, expected to shore up some of the difficiencies from a 9-19 mark of last season. In addition to the five promising newcomers, Keeling returns eight veterans.
