The purpose of this study is to produce an accurate record of unique events in the formation and development of the Oklahoma High School Athletic Association, in order that some valuable generalizations from a consideration of those experiences may serve as a guide in present and future situations. It is the purpose of this study to determine how and by whom the cost of medical attention, material, and hospitalization for athletic injuries among high school athletes is paid in the several states of the United States. The study will be confined to injuries sustained in interscholastic contests and supervised practice periods for such contests.
