A Multiple Regression And Concurrent Validity Analysis Of High School Seniors' Social Competence, Ability To Manage Emotions, And Their Time Spent On Facebook, Charles Rhoton

This study involved the investigation of high school seniors' social competence and ability to manage emotions in predicting the amount of time they spend socializing on Facebook. The study also seeks to determine if the Social Skill Improvement System (SSIS) and the Mayer, Salovey, Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) measure similar constructs. A multiple regression design and correlation design was planned for the study. The data analysis was carried out by testing for normality, linearity, homoscedasticity, and multicollinearity.
