There is a long-standing shortage of school psychologists (Curtis, Hunley, & Grier, 2004; McIntosh, 2004; Fagan, 2004; Castillo, Curtis, & Tan, 2014). a shortage that allows the social, emotional, and academic needs of American school-children to go under served. to understand better the working conditions that may contribute to this shortage, a sample of Illinois school psychologists were surveyed. the aim of this study was fourfold. First, to collect rates of job satisfaction, the experience of burnout, and the five-year occupational intentions of school psychologists.
