Kenya, like the rest of the world, is facing a major problem of poor academic performance. A new curriculum called Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) is being implemented with the hope of solving a major problem of poor academic performance. This study utilizes a quantitative, correlational, and survey research design. It will contribute significantly towards the understanding of family dynamics in Kenya and its impact on the motivation, self-control, and academic performance of students.

This quantitative study will examine the levels of statistics anxiety among 356 graduate students in Saudi Arabia. The study will also assess a theoretical model which proposes that attitudes toward statistics, statistics self-efficacy and previous statistics experience predict statistics anxiety. Results will indicate statistics anxiety levels and show its predictors.

Preservice teachers’ implicit beliefs and their preferred definitions of intelligence are important because they influence children and their beliefs about ability (Dweck, 2006). This presentation will share the results of a quantitative study in which over 250 preservice teachers from the Midwest were surveyed to find out their implicit beliefs about intelligence and their knowledge of intelligence definitions.

This study examines the influence of ASD-specific training or professional development, peer observations, feedback from consultation/collaboration and teacher attitudes on general education teacher’s self-efficacy beliefs for educating students with ASD, as well as whether knowledge mediates the effect of professional development on teacher self-efficacy. It is hypothesized that the proposed theoretical model of teacher self-efficacy for educating students with ASD will fit an empirical model based on collected data. The purpose of this literature review is to address how internalized and externalized behaviors in adolescents impact academic achievement in faith-based institutions. This research intends to bring awareness to the prevalence of mental health concerns faced by adolescents, as well as the need for mental health services in the education system. This research will also identify the relationship between internalizing and externalizing behaviors, and academic achievement.
