The primary purpose of this informal experiment in group work with children in a fourth grade classroom is two-fold: first, to describe and amplify the use of the small group technic in a classroom situation, and second, to show what relationship there may be between the use of the small group technic and changes in group belongingness and individual behavior.

The object of this paper is to assist the ceramics teacher in experimentation with local clays. The use of local clays has a definite esthetic value, especially when the teacher makes use of all of the instructional aids associated with the geology and industrial–ceramic aspects which may be incorporated with field trips and the experimentation and processing necessary to make the clay useful.

It was the purpose of this study (1) to determine the contributions which the use of recorded music may make toward the fulfillment of the objectives of elementary school music education; (2) to determine the directions of musical growth to be fostered through, and some valid teaching principles relative to music listening activities in the elementary school classroom; (3) to make suggestions as to the teaching techniques and the organization of the selected recorded materials which may assist the classroom teacher in promoting a climate favorable to the development of maximum musical growth in each student.
