The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the effectiveness of the demonstration method, as used in science on the elementary school level, in teaching the critical thinking ability; (2) whether a reliable testing device could be designed to measure critical thinking ability at the elementary school level; and (3) whether there exists a relationship between the mental ability of elementary school children and their ability to do critical thinking.

The purpose of this study was threefold: (1) to attempt to disclose how frequently and to what extent parent-teacher conferences are being used as a means of reporting to and counseling with parents in the elementary schools of Chelan and Douglas counties in Washington State; (2) to examine contemporary literature regarding parent-teacher conferences, and (3) to draw implications about current practices in Chelan and Douglas counties.

Now that metal sculpture has become a recognized art form, some opportunity for work with this medium properly belongs in the school art class. A readily available source of supply for light metal material is discarded metal containers. The problem which has been dealt with in this study has been to adapt to creative expression this waste metal from cans, using only the most simplified processes.
