The June 11, 1940 meeting of the Brown University/RISD Community Art Project was held at University Hall, Brown University. The circulation of exhibitions and the publication of the Calendar of Art events was discussed. The appointment of a full time man to continue the Project was discussed and this motion passed. Finances between Brown and RISD and the Carnegie Corporation were also discussed.

This is the March 1, 1940 report of the student Picture Lending Library of Brown and RISD. The Lending Library began in the spring of 1933 through a Carnegie Corp. grant and was housed at the art galleries at Brown and RISD. Pictures were purchased from various dealers. The idea was to promote having artwork as a part of one's surroundings and not as a study aid.
