Esse estudo examina a historiografia educacional nos Estados Unidos de 1950 a 2000, com o objetivo de apresentar um perfil da produção científica realizada nesse período. Foram identificados quatro sistemas para classificar as pesquisas da área. Cada tipologia foi desenvolvida em relação a uma determinada década que organiza a historiografia educacional em uma perspectiva singular. Os quatro sistemas classificam as pesquisas dos pontos de vista temático, bibliográfico, especulativo e empírico. A descrição das tipologias é precedida por uma discussão do desenvolvimento da tradição de pesquisa histórico-educacional norte-americano.

This dissertation research combines archival data and historical methods and analyzes how schooling and education in Greece between 1834 and 1913 sought to shape a Greek national identity. The goal of this project is to present a historical analysis, that has thus far been absent from scholarship on the subject, and to convey how the adoption of a common national history in Greece, with roots to ancient Greece, assisted in the shaping of a Greek national identity. It is the purpose of this study (1) to analyze those New Mexico School laws which have been enacted since 1931; (2) to criticize them on the basis of their particular value, or lack of value, to public education in New Mexico; and (3) to suggest revisions which closely parallel the recommendations of outstanding research groups and authorities in the field of educational administration.
