In an effort to offer an effective preparation program for prospective teachers, the institution rrrust first analyze its present status--"What are we now doing?" Such an assessment, a point of reference, is necessary before speculations about modifications can be put into action. The problem undertaken in this study was to ascertain the status of the 1969 teacher education graduates from Central Washington State College in regard to their major field of preparation and subsequent placerrent within, or outside that field of preparation.

The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral effects of conferencing with high school teachers following observations of their behavior in the classroom. The basis of observation, feedback, and conferencing was Flanders' System of Interaction Analysis. All observations were recorded, but feedback was given only to the experimental group.

Information regarding staff, budget, facilities, equipment, materials and services provided by the media programs of the public schools within the Estacada Union High School District was not available. The problem was to gather data on each specific item and present it in a usable manner. The purpose of this study was to determine the weaknesses that could be identified by comparing the quantitative elements of the media programs available in the individual school with evaluative criteria provided by the requirements and recommendations of state and national media standards.

The purpose of this study was to determine if a group of kindergarten children, after receiving instructional activities designed to develop automatic-sequential language skills, would differ from a matched control group not receiving such instruction. The design of the study called for the administration of the three ITPA subtests, Visual-Motor Sequencing, Auditory-Vocal Sequencing, and Auditory-Vocal Automatic, to both groups prior to and following the program of instructional activities.

The purpose of this study was to partially evaluate the effectiveness of a kindergarten perceptual-motor training program in regard to improvement of motor skills. In this evaluation the primary effort will be to measure those aspects of readiness which are closely related to the specific objectives of the perceptual motor training program. A secondary effort will be made to evaluate the general efforts of the training on aspects of readiness less closely related to the specific objectives of the program. The hypothesis of this study was that boys between the ages of seven to nine playing Tee-ball would receive a significantly higher number of opportunities to learn baseball skills than boys playing in the Atom Leagues; and as a result of the greater number of opportunities to learn, Tee-ball would result in greater improvement than would Atom ball over one season.

The study was initiated to compare the block system of scheduling speech correction services in the public schools with the traditional intermittent system of scheduling. The question this study sought to answer was: Does the type of scheduling have an effect on the progress made by children?
