How To Use Structural Equation Modeling In Psychological Research, Saeed A. Al-Dossary Phd Jun 2022

How To Use Structural Equation Modeling In Psychological Research, Saeed A. Al-Dossary Phd

International Journal for Research in Education

Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a collection of advanced statistical methods that has recently and limitedly become used in Arabic research. The purpose of this research is to illustrate how to use SEM in a study to explain the phenomenon of cyberbullying using the theory of planned behavior on a sample of 307 students at Hail university. The five steps in SEM are outlined: model specification, identification, estimation, testing, and modification. In addition, the recommended best practices, which are rarely found in studies, are explained: two-stage estimation, and alternative models.

Keywords: structural equation modeling, path analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, …

The study consisted of a sample of 74 male and female students with autism spectrum disorder. The study tool was used to improve self-organization skills, and a program of using visual activity tables was administered, in which the validity and reliability of the tool was calculated. The study found statistically significant differences between the pre and post testing of the experimental group which refers that the training program improved self-regulation skills for the experimental group participants. …

Developing A Diagnostic Criterion-Referenced Mathematics Test In Solving Equations Using The Attribute Hierarchy Method, Dr. Amal Ahmad Alzoubi Feb 2022

Developing A Diagnostic Criterion-Referenced Mathematics Test In Solving Equations Using The Attribute Hierarchy Method, Dr. Amal Ahmad Alzoubi

International Journal for Research in Education

Abstract

The study aimed at developing a criterion test for solving equations systems according to the strategy of hierarchical constructive analysis for 10th-grade students. A diagnostic test was developed, consisting of 46 items distributed to six sub-skills. The test was administrated to 390 10th grade students in Irbid, were male 184, Jordan. The validity, reliability of the test, the validity, and efficiency of hierarchical construction of solving equations were verified. The study results revealed that the test might be good for diagnosing purposes in solving quadratic equations. The researcher suggested recommendations to universities, schools, and measurement centers to use this …

The Effect Of Using The Gamification Strategy On Academic Achievement And Motivation Towards Learning Problem-Solving Skills In Computer And Information Technology Course Among Tenth Grade Female Students, Mazyunah Almutairi, Prof. Ahmad Almassaad

International Journal for Research in Education

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of using the gamification strategy on academic achievement and motivation towards learning problem-solving skills in computer and information technology course. A quasi-experimental method was adopted. The study population included tenth-grade female students in Al-Badi’ah schools in Riyadh. The sample consisted of 54 students divided into two equal groups: control group and experimental group. The study tools comprised an achievement test and the motivation scale. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the academic achievement test in favor of the experimental group, with a large effect …
