An Analysis Of Available Selection Factors For Judging The Educational Merit Of Short Duration, Out-Of-House, Management Training Programs For American Corporations, Douglas R. Loomer

The purpose of this research project was twofold. First, to determine which, if any, information items, normally known about short duration out-of-house management training programs (seminars, workshops, etc.) prior to attendance, are indicative of educational merit. Second, to utilize this knowledge of educational merit indicators to test for a difference between the educational merit of out-of-house management training programs provided by (a) academic and (b) nonacademic instructional sources.

The purpose of this study was to review the relationship between the operation of a full-time community information/relations program and citizen financial support in Michigan local school districts. The study also identified and investigated model components of successful full-time community information/relations programs.

Financial support records of 11 local school districts identified as operating full-time community information/relations programs (community information/relations districts) were compared to those records established by a comparable sample group of local school districts which did not operate a program (traditional districts) during a five year period, 1977-1982. Problem

In the Seventh-day Adventist educational system, a need exists for research concerning the interpersonal relationships between school principals and teachers, particularly regarding the way in which teachers perceive the principal's role. A school principal is in the unique position of being able, independently, to affect the functioning of an entire school staff. The teachers' perceptions of the principal affect their interpersonal relationships and, consequently, the school climate. There is a need to know about this aspect in order to work cut effective ore-service and in-service training for school principals.
