Commissioned by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the evaluation study of the Scheme for Upgradation of Merit of Scheduled Caste Students was conducted in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. To cover the educational structural deficiencies of Scheduled Caste (SC) students, the Scheme provides for 100% Central Assistance to States/ UTs for arranging remedial and special coaching for SC students studying in class IX to XII.
