In an effort to offer an effective preparation program for prospective teachers, the institution rrrust first analyze its present status--"What are we now doing?" The purpose of this study was to determine the behavioral effects of conferencing with high school teachers following observations of their behavior in the classroom. The basis of observation, feedback, and conferencing was Flanders' System of Interaction Analysis. All observations were recorded, but feedback was given only to the experimental group.

The question this study sought to answer was: Does the type of scheduling have an effect on the progress made by children? Opinions, regarding the two methods of scheduling, were sought from the classroom teachers whose students were involved in the study.

The hypothesis of this study was that boys between the ages of seven to nine playing Tee-ball would receive a significantly higher number of opportunities to learn baseball skills than boys playing in the Atom Leagues; and as a result of the greater number of opportunities to learn, Tee-ball would result in greater improvement than would Atom ball over one season.

The purpose of this study was to determine if a group of kindergarten children, after receiving instructional activities designed to develop automatic-sequential language skills, would differ from a matched control group not receiving such instruction. The design of the study called for the administration of the three ITPA subtests, Visual-Motor Sequencing, Auditory-Vocal Sequencing, and Auditory-Vocal Automatic, to both groups prior to and following the program of instructional activities.

This study attempts to find a relationship between speech problems and reading difficulties. This was accomplished by giving reading achievement and reading diagnostic tests to the children at the C.W.S.C. speech and hearing clinic. It was the purpose of this study to compare the percentile scores of the Metropolitan Readiness Test of first grade children in Wenatchee School District No. 246 who have had kindergarten with those first grade children in Wenatchee School District No. 246 who have not had kindergarten. The following factors were considered in this study: Chronological age, sex, and total percentile score. This data was taken from the Metropolitan Readiness Tests over a two-year period, 1966-67 and 1967-68.

Due to the low economic area from which the subjects for this experiment were chosen, many were lacking in environmental experiences which contributed to their growth in reading skills and interests in the primary grades. This experiment was devised as a means to study reading difficulties in children from a low socioeconomic area, while, at the same time, parents were used to help overcome those problems.
