The purpose of this study was to analyze parents' reaction to a new reporting system. The system had been modified to eliminate all marks, and conferences and narrative reports were used in place of report cards.

[T]he purpose of this study was to elicit the opinions of the Cashmere parents and teachers towards the present reporting system and reporting in general and to ascertain whether the present reporting system used in the Vale Elementary School was meeting the needs of the community and school.
