The primary purpose of this study is to attempt to determine the administrative responsibility, academic training, and tenure of athletic coaches in public secondary schools in the Yakima Valley. It is desired that this study will serve as an aid in improving the coach’s status in the Yakima Valley; and to identify the true position of the athletic coaches in the over-all educational picture.
