Identification of Key Biodiversity Areas (including Important Plant Areas) is one of the most actual international programs performing within the framework of the Convention on Biodiversity Conservation. The Zeravschan Range is a part of the Mountains of Central Asia Global Biodiversity Hotspot; this region of Uzbekistan has been recommended for creation of protected area. The flora of Uzbek part of the Zeravschan Range is distinguished by significant diversity including numerous endangered, rare, endemic and sub-endemic species which conservation has national and global importance. The vegetation cover of study area is represented with plant communities typical for the mountainous Central Asia. …

The practical use of Kashkadarya basin pastures and significance of mapping data to monitor the fodder yields and their good results were reviewed in the article. The article involves the creation of foothills pasture maps during several years, and determination the fodder productivity of spring pastures, to conduct field surveys on essential pasture areas, the use of pastures as fodder, and conducting annual investigation of livestock feeding were brought in the article.

Spreading Of Freshwater Gastropods Mollusks On High-Altitude Belts In The North-West Of The Turkistan Range, A.T Karimkulov, M Burieva

The information about high-altitude spreading of freshwater gastropods mollusks in the north-west of the Turkistan range is given in this article. The analysis of the obtained information has shown that the most optimal belt for living of freshwater mollusks is hill belt where 13 species from 15 definited live. The belt aylau is the most unfavourable belt for living of gastropods molluscs.
