Johnson and Wales University (JWU) is a four-year private institution located in Providence, Rhode Island. This project is a course-linked capstone that will employ qualitative research techniques to evaluate international student orientation processes. This capstone will connect theory, concepts, and applications from my coursework completed at the SIT Graduate Institute such as foundations, youth programming, international education design and delivery, design concepts and evaluation. Over the last decade, international students in the United States have surpassed the one million mark (Institute of International Education [IIE], 2016(a). Research found here highlights the goals and motivations of this growing constituency and examines factors that influence international students to choose educational experiences in the United States.
