The purpose of this study was to investigate historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) athletic administrators (i.e., Directors of Athletics, Senior Women Administrators, Commissioners) perceptions of curriculum development and design of a graduate (doctoral) level curriculum for athletic programs. Few studies were reported in the literature of researchers investigating variables affecting the operation, effectiveness and curriculum development of athletics at HBCUs. Athletics curriculum continues to be debated amongst this discipline’s educators. This research is intended to examine the relationship between the enrollment of Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in American high schools and the rate of delinquency on campus. While the stigma and general belief that immigrants and criminality are correlated has existed throughout American History, empirical research findings have generally indicated the inverse to be true and often find that immigrants engage in lower rates of delinquency in comparison to their non-immigrant counterparts. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship and predictability of demographic factors on the persistence, study habits and motivation level among African American and Latino male community college students. Specifically, this study was concerned with the predictive power of demographic (socio-economic status, age, ethnicity, and family support) factors on the persistence, study habits, and motivation level among minority male community college students. This study presents an examination of the relationship and predictability of selected socio-personal, job-related, and school-related factors on the level of financial support by alumni at an historically black college and university (HBCU).
