The purpose of this phenomenological study was to investigate how Christian faculty members integrate their religious identity with their professional identity within public colleges and universities. Semi-structured interviews with 12 Christian faculty members shed light on their perceived "calling" to public higher education, as well as revealed insights as to how they overtly and covertly attempt to express their religious identity within the workplace.

In light of post 9/11/01 realities, we studied the need for retooling crisis management plans on college campuses. A review of the literature, expert interviews, and document analysis yielded several promising practices to be included in recommended guidelines for crisis management plans.

Students living in smoke-free and alcohol free residential housing were compared to students in on-campus environments that did not ban these substances. Significant differences between these communities are discussed.
