The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the middle school in Pratt, Kansas. The planning, research and inservice necessary for implementation was of primary concern. Information was obtained from Wichita State University library, Kansas State College of Pittsburg library, and from the central office resource center of Pratt Unified School District #382. The following middle schools were visited: Hesston Middle School, Hesston, Kansas; Rogers Middle School, Spencer, Oklahoma; Rincon Middle School, West Covina, California, and their programs were reviewed for this project.

The purpose of this study is to find a test or combination of tests in the areas of intelligence, clerical ability, and personality that could, for prognostic purposes, be relied upon as a tool to aid in a counseling situation for students desiring to enroll in shorthand I, typewriting I, or office machines. Three well-known, standardized tests were used in the investigation. Juniors and Seniors of the Labette County Community High School at Altamont, Kansas enrolled in the subjects mentioned made up the experimental group. This investigation was undertakes to determine: (1) the insurance companies that issue policies which guarantee adequate protection to high school athletic teams, (2) the state athletic associations that have worked out or adopted plans that give satisfactory protection to high school competitors. Letters were sent to a number of insurance companies and state athletic associations to obtain information concerning their plans for compensation of athletic accidents.
