Budget Casualties: School Budget Cuts Will Mean Fewer Industrial Technology Courses Offered At Owatonna High School, Melissa Kaelin

Welding isn’t the only skill students are learning under the Industrial Technology program at OHS. The program — which will lose .75 FTEs (full-time equivalents) at the high school and .4 FTEs at Owatonna Junior High School in budget cuts for the 2009-2010 school year — encompasses a long list of course offerings. Among them are automotive technology, machining, residential electricity, woodworking, construction technology, architectural design and graphic communications and Web site design.
