Often when I speak to parents, students and educators, I share one of my core beliefs: there is no ceiling on human potential. Though perhaps a bit overstated, as I fully realize my limited singing ability elicits monumental groans and sends animals scurrying for cover, it is true that often when we think an individual has reached his or her “potential,” we are astounded by a new accomplishment. Message From the President

As a long-time educator in Illinois, I have admired IMSA’s role as an international leader in developing talent and leadership in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). I am honored and privileged to now serve as IMSA’s second president.

This first year, I have been meeting with educational leaders and policy makers across Illinois as well as IMSA students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and donors to solicit ideas and determine our critical needs.
