“I Don’t Know” Engaging with Problematic Moments in Multicultural Education Marilyn Cochran-Smith (2000) describes a moment that occurred during a well-known and historically well-received pedagogical seminar that included addressing race and racism. As part of one session, Cochran-Smith invited a Native American colleague to share some of his experiences with the class.
