This paper explores the transformative impact of technology on society, drawing on Marshall McLuhan’s insights. It scrutinizes the consequences of profit-driven technological progress, particularly in VR, brain-computer interfaces, and AI hallucinations. Critiquing the dominance of industry leaders in AI safety discussions, the paper advocates a balanced, inclusive approach.

The two presenters each shared their favorite Drupal modules, giving site examples of each in action and talking about the benefits and drawbacks of each. Most UGA websites using Drupal are in the process of migrating content from 7 to 8, so each module discussed was then described in terms of availability in 8. The Technology Teachers Association represents teachers of subjects including Technology, Materials Technology Wood, Technical Graphics, Design & Communication Graphics and Construction Studies.
