In September 1972, the first class of women accepted to the College of the Holy Cross arrived on campus. This meant major changes for the College during the years spanning 1967, when women attended classes during Co-Ed Day, and 1976, when the first fully co-educational class walked across the stage at Commencement.

Two major events in 1972 brought major changes to the College of the Holy Cross: the passing of Title IX and the admission of women as students. This exhibit commmemorates the 50th anniversary of Title IX and continues the celebration of the 50th anniversary of coeducation at Holy Cross by highlighting the founding and growth of women’s athletics at the College.

In January 2020, the Outreach and Engagement Team at the College of the Holy Cross began preparing a poetry walk, which was reconfigured to a social media “poetry event” due to COVID-19. With the anticipated return of students to campus for the Spring 2021 semester and a need for the community (especially students) to have recreational opportunities that were safe, socially distanced and preferably outside, the Team attempted for a second time to plan a poetry walk. Our goal with the present proposal is to bring modifications to the dining experience in Kimball Hall at the College of the Holy Cross, so to encourage a more well-rounded approach, which would best represent the values of continuous learning and education of the whole person and reflect the mission of the College. In order to meet these goals, we recommend five changes to Kimball dining , which we plan to implement during the Spring 2017 semester in collaboration with two Montserrat seminars.

How can the divide between science and the humanities be bridged? This article describes a series of collaborative art projects initiated by the science librarian at the College of the Holy Cross, who worked with faculty from Visual Arts and Creative Writing. Participating faculty were eager to help design opportunities that would highlight student work as well as form alliances with the libraries. These collaborations were innovative in that they brought together two academic worlds which don’t always have opportunities to mix with each other, generated other projects that drew non-traditional users into the science library, and, most significantly, enabled …

This historical overview of the Naval ROTC Unit at the College of the Holy Cross was prepared for the 75th anniversary of the Unit's establishment in 1941. This article describes new art installations and landscaping which enhance the exterior spaces of Dinand Library at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The murals, "Civitas Branching" and "Lungs of the Planet," are collaborative art projects created by students of the College and members of the Worcester community. They were installed in April 2016. A dedication ceremony was held April 20, 2016.

This slide presentation traces the creative process of Lungs of the Planet, a tile mural depicting line drawings on individual 6 x 6 inch tiles, as well as larger color images of blossoms, fruit, and birds to symbolize the cycle of life.
The mural was created as a collaborative art project by students in the Natural World Cluster of the Monserrat First Year Program at the College of the Holy Cross. The project was led by Virginia Raguin, Distinguished Professor of Humanities at the College. Particpants included students, faculty, staff and community members.
