University educators designed and co-taught a course which involved collaborative artmaking and learning with a community-based arts organization that serves individuals with disabilities. Their goal was to help university students examine the potential of art and how it applies to their personal and professional lives. They sought to better understand how to nurture a feeling of artistic agency in undergraduate students who do not define themselves as artists. Educators found that students benefited from an exploration of art fear through an inclusive approach to art creation.

Contextualization is an important aspect of Christian ministries and cross-cultural missions to create sustaining churches around the world. There are many forms of communication that use contextualization for religious purposes, such as theatre, story, art, and dance. These important forms of communication can be used with cultural practices to contextualize the Gospel to different people groups. For Native Americans and Alaskans, artistic works that promote cultural heritage are highly regarded. A beadwork piece that explains the Gospel could be a creative way to contextualize to Native American and Alaskans.

Influences on this collection include Robert Hass’s THE ESSENTIAL HAIKU and FIELD GUIDE, which attend to nature and the poet-speaker’s immediate surroundings with diligence and precision. Ariel Francisco’s place poems and creative titles in ALL MY HEROES ARE BROKE provide important touchstones for Souto’s commitment to here-and-now writing. Theatre-based interventions are an emerging field to improve social skills in individuals with autism. This study analyzed 10 different articles using theatre-based interventions, combined with evidence-based practices, to increase social skills deficits in students, ages 8-17, diagnosed with autism. Results indicate improvement in social skills for individuals with autism after participating in theatre-based interventions.

This study investigates the relationship between art making in the elementary classroom and fourth-grade students' ability to self-regulate when experiencing a heightened or low state of arousal. The study included the research question "Is time spent creating art following choice-based expectations an effective intervention for students who experienced a heightened state of arousal (red zone or yellow zone) prior to beginning class?" Students' states of arousal were self-indicated through Zones of Regulation check-ins at the beginning, middle and end of class. Persuasive social constructs of masculinity negatively impact the enrollment of adolescent male singers in public-school choral music programs. Research focused on the awareness of the systemic gender stereotypes threatens to invalidate boys' participation in the arts and strategies and approaches to support the middle level choral music experience for young male singers. A critical analysis of relevant scholarly research pertaining to this topic included single-sex ensembles, vocal models and their influence on possible future selves, use of improvisation and the development of self-efficacy and musical identity, and promotion of inclusive masculinities through voice classification methods and repertoire choices.

Assessing creativity is based on divergent thinking consisting of fluency, originality and uniqueness in thinking methods. The theoretical framework assesses the creative thinking of candidates through a 4-week gaming programme consists of a pre-and post-assessment of the Creativity Quotient Test which consists of 10 critical thinking questions. The current review examines the impact of nature experience on student academic performance. The findings suggest that the effect exists in two types of association: (1) green space and school-level academic performance; (2) outdoor educational programs and student school motivation and knowledge. Overall, the researchers predominantly found that students exposed to green space performed better academically in Grades K to 12. Meanwhile, students’ socio-economic status, the proximity of green space, types of vegetation, and subjects could also affect the association. With the demise of analog photography, the workings of light, which seemed an obvious and transparent modality in an earlier era, have acquired a new salience. Instead of a transparent medium that seamlessly links seeing and knowing, light is shown as having agency and a textured materiality, both of which inflect bodies and spaces. This resurgence is indicated in the recent spate of scholarship on the social and material cultures of light, the infrastructures enabled by light, colonial practices of light (which is my own point of entry into the subject), anthropologies of luminosity, and geographies of darkness.
