eLearning for Medical Educators (eLME) is under development as a mechanism to provide professional learning in medical education to anyone, anytime, anywhere. The project began in 2016 at the Office for Medical Educator Development within the UNM School of Medicine in order to support community faculty who host medical students and residents at their clinics. eLME was planned with numerous stakeholders using the Kirkpatrick Business Partnership Model. Two modules were delivered in early 2017 and include a combination of self-reflection, interactive multimedia, and assessment.

The majority of New York State teachers remain disproportionately White, while their student populations grow increasingly diverse, and New York has experienced a dramatic increase in the number of diverse students, often referred to as students of color, including a large number of immigrant groups, in nearly all regions of the state. Recently published research has underscored that in order for multilingual, multiethnic, and multiracial teacher candidates to successfully enter the teaching profession, teacher preparation programs may need to alter some of their practices. From Ad Hoc To Intentional: One Department’S Online Journey, Jennie A. Harrop, Carol Hutchinson, Michelle Shelton

When George Fox’s Department of Professional Studies offered four online courses in the summer of 2010, the faculty did not know what would come of the experiment. Six years later, the department now offers more than 25 online classes per semester, including one online major, and the program is growing. The majority of DPS students juggle families and full-time work in addition to school, and increasingly students are seeking the convenience of online offerings for both required major and general education courses.
