One drive for this has been the discussion of anthropogenic, environmental endangerment concerns (Vlassopoulous 2011, 104). However, despite the environmental concerns, the U.S. has for some time only relied on one type of energy source—fossil fuels. This study examined transparency and accountability as bridges to the interpretative and sense making capabilities of the public following the collapse of Crane Bank, Uganda. Content and critical discourse analysis methods were used to: investigate the nature of communication, the information shared; review honesty and responsibility in communication, and also analyze how accountability and transparency are constructed during crisis situations in the South. Assessment of 120 newspaper articles showed that both Crane Bank and Bank of Uganda mainly left it to the media to create and give meaning to stakeholders. This research study seeks to gain a better understanding of the effects of the dark triad (narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy) on advice taking. This research examined whether or not the dark triad traits result in working professionals being more or less likely to accept advice when making a decision. Past research has shown that outcomes are generally more favorable when the person who is making the decision takes the advice of another person into consideration. Glancy and Yadav (2010) developed a computational fraud detection model (CFDM) that successfully detected financial reporting fraud in the text of the management’s discussion and analysis (MDA) portion of annual filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This work extends the use of the CFDM to additional genres, demonstrates the generalizability of the CFDM and the use of text mining for quantitatively detecting deception in asynchronous text. It also demonstrates that writers committing fraud use words differently from truth tellers.

Organizational scholarship has assumed that corporate irresponsibility (CI) is largely detrimental to corporate financial performance. Alternatively, CI may sometimes work in firms’ favor, though at the expense of stakeholders. Exploring this reality, I argue that many firms engage in strategic CI because there are short-term financial benefits or at least no clear financial payoffs for behaving otherwise. I critique the literature on CI and conceptualize the construct as more then corporate illegality and distinct from both corporate policy and low CSR. In this article, I examine how 121 leading corporations in India communicate the external relevance of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs/outputs and whether these outputs vary by ownership identity (foreign, government, and family), industry affiliation (environmentally sensitive and consumer proximate), and market orientation (inward and outward). I use content analysis from corporate websites, annual reports, and CSR/Sustainability reports to create a unique database on India. This article presents the findings from an empirical study of ecological worldviews of global sustainability leaders. Although a significant body of research has emerged in recent years focused on corporate sustainability at the organizational level, the literature has paid less attention to corporate sustainability at the individual level. As a result, little is known about the deeper psychological motivations of sustainability leaders and how these motivations may influence their behavior and effectiveness as change agents.
