Antecedents And Outcomes Of Duty Orientation Among Salespeople, James Deconinck, Drew Carnes, Mary Beth Deconinck

American Business Review

This study analyzed the relationship among ethical leadership, duty orientation, perceived organizational support (PSS), organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs) and job performance among a sample of 45 sales managers and 203 salespeople. Duty orientation and perceived organizational support were found to mediate the relationship between ethical leadership and performance outcomes. Ethical leadership was a direct predictor of OCBs but not job performance. This study shows the importance of analyzing ethical leadership, duty orientation, and PSS and their relationship with OCBs and job performance in the salesforce.

The studies of Flexible Working Arrangement (FWA) have increased significantly in 2020. However, most studies are focused on the benefits and risks of FWA in general or particular jobs. The model of FWA implementation in different characteristics of jobs to improve performances are still insufficiently researched. Using a case study with qualitative and quasi-statistic data, this study investigates the Indonesian public sector in implementing FWA policy. Investigating Indonesia allows the researchers to describe how FWA in a mandated leading training institute promotes performances in different types of jobs. The aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between S-D orientation and service innovation and performance variables. The empirical data were collected from airline passengers in Turkey through an online survey. PLS-SEM method was used to test the relationship between variables of the study. The results of the study exposure that there is a significant relationship between S-D orientation and service innovation. There is also a correlation between service innovation and firm performance. Research Aims: The study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy on the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach: The data were obtained from questionnaires distributed to 200 SME managers/owners. Multiple regression analysis was applied to test the influence of financial literacy on SMEs performance by controlling manager profile and SME-specific characteristics. Research Findings: Multiple regression results prove that financial literacy has a positive and significant impact on SMEs' performance. Managers/owners with financial literacy skills understand business-related financial concepts, including debt, savings, takaful, insurance, and investment, which ensure the good performance of their business.
