It has its advantages as compared to more centralized networks and legacy networks. With the evolution of mainstream technology, blockchains is predicted to be more effective and sufficient to consumers and commercial companies. Developing nations have been slow to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies despite a growing threat to governance and public security. This qualitative case study examined how the government and private sector in Jamaica viewed the state of cybersecurity in the country, and how the country was developing policy to respond to cyber threats.
