"Doing Business In China: A Framework For Cross-Cultural Understanding, Gregory Osland

Gregory E. Osland

The process of doing business in The People′s Republic of China can be understood better and improved through a conceptual model that identifies and explains critical elements of their culture. Responses clearly demonstrate the blending of traditional marketing strategies and technology, including social media, in an effort to convert …

Public Health Marketing: Is It Good And Is It Good For Everyone?, Stephen Holden, Damian Cox Jul 2014

Public Health Marketing: Is It Good And Is It Good For Everyone?, Stephen Holden, Damian Cox

Damian Cox

We explore the ethical challenges and risks that confront public health and social marketers. In particular, we note that public health marketers with a self-defined goal of delivering a social good face two major ethical challenges: the first is establishing the ethicality of the social good itself; the second is distributing the social good in an ethically defensible way. In particular, we draw attention to the central …

Conceptualising A Contemporary Marketing Mix For Sustainable Tourism, Alan Pomering, Gary Noble, Lester Johnson Mar 2011

Conceptualising A Contemporary Marketing Mix For Sustainable Tourism, Alan Pomering, Gary Noble, Lester Johnson

Lester Johnson

It illustrates how the recognition of the importance of sustainable tourism at all scales of tourism activity provides marketing with an opportunity to pursue sustainability outcomes. We review the strategic tourism marketing planning process and conceptually develop a sustainability tourism marketing model that embeds sustainability considerations at each stage of the planning process. Our proposed …
