This article reviews the biblical doctrines of sanctification and stewardship, and assesses the implications for economic institutional arrangements. Sanctification is one part of the process of salvation, yet it is the one aspect (in addition to initial repentance) that requires human partnership with what God is doing to redeem a people. Sanctification is seen to be the changing of our heart’s inclinations as we increasingly apply the truth of God in our daily, moment-by-moment actions. Thus our freedom to choose has eternal consequences as we become increasingly conformed to the image of Christ. While sanctification occurs in many facets of …

Is Fractional Reserve Banking Necessarily Immoral?, Ryan T. Beach, Jeffrey E. Haymond

When Deposits are made to a bank, the bank can loan out most of it, while claiming they have the money to pay you back. When you deposit money in a bank, only a fraction of it stays on deposit; the rest is loaned out. When the person receives the loan spends it, money goes to another bank, repeating the process. Ultimately, if the central bank puts $100 of reserves into the FRB system, $1000 of money could enter the economy.

This presentation is a review of the literature on business and human rights and Corporate Social Responsibility. Globalization has lead to human rights and business being a combined topic. The United Nations and other countries have began to recognize human rights with labor regulations due to the misconduct in applied legislation. Our research focuses on the country of Myanmar also known as Burma. The United States in particular has had a long history working with Myanmar.
