Outcomes of mathematical analysis of decision making units are explored to find solutions that make real-world sense. In particular, tradeoffs are made between variables (both input and output variables) while maintaining a common-sense outlook on which adjustments might be feasible.

MBA classes were given information about firms and asked to assess credit risk. risk. Test groups used different graphical presentations of data to make assessments. Star format graphics were found to be more effective than tables or bar graphs. Tables were found to be faster and more accurate in making assessments.
