Examines non-linear adaptation to change in the high-technology environment of the computer industry. These environments are defined, and the efficacy of different organizational adaptations is assessed with respect to these environments. Results from our analyses show that there is a direct and causal relationship between the employment of non-linear organizational archetypes and organizational effectiveness within high-technology industries.

Numerous empirical investigations have attempted to study the relationship between multinationality and firm performance. Results from these studies have produced conflicting findings about this relationship. It is argued that one of the causes of the conflicting findings may be an imprecise conceptualization of multinationality. A multidimensional conceptualization is proposed based on a methodological review of previous research.

One of the major challenges in the development of a new venture is the need for different thinking styles over time. The growing body of research on entrepreneurship has largely ignored the influence of cognition during the evolution of the new venture. In this paper, we develop a conceptual model which shows how cognitive make-up may influence the success of the new venture growth process. This line of inquiry may prove fruitful in explaining why many creative ideas and once successful ventures fail to succeed.
