Although the COVID-19 pandemic has created many challenges for business operations, it has certainly driven businesses to deploy digital technologies in a variety of areas, including customer engagement, customer services, and workflow coordination. In addition to supporting overall business strategies, digital technologies have been shown to carry the capacity to trigger business innovations and renewal. This pilot study aims to understand the impact of COVID-19 on digitalization and further investigate the various paths of digital transformation at different businesses. An important aspect of crisis communication is secondary crisis communication, which focuses on how people communicate during a crisis. This study seeks to explore the mechanism of credibility in secondary crisis communication. Respondents in a large-scale experiment (N=2382) were exposed to a fictional news story about a terrorist attack and asked to what degree they would share the news story on social media. This study explores the fitting of consumer needs to product perceived value using the example of two lines of competitive products in the area of communication electronics, Apple products versus Samsung products. Five types of needs regarding digital communication and three types of related product value are evaluated for these two brands in order to know if product value differences have a distinctive effect on consumer needs.

The idea of crowdfunding stems from the more encompassing concept of crowdsourcing, which refers not only to the gathering of funds, but to group participation in the convergence of ideas and content creation. The city of Kitakyushu is located in Fukuoka prefecture, southwestern Japan. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) designated it as one of the four “Green growth” model cities in the world. The city experienced industrial pollution in the 1960s, however, it currently enjoys a reputation for having successful environmental approaches. In this article, I examine how 121 leading corporations in India communicate the external relevance of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs/outputs and whether these outputs vary by ownership identity (foreign, government, and family), industry affiliation (environmentally sensitive and consumer proximate), and market orientation (inward and outward). I use content analysis from corporate websites, annual reports, and CSR/Sustainability reports to create a unique database on India. Indicators include issuance of stand-alone CSR/Sustainability reports, participation in GRI, UNGC, Carbon Disclosure Project, and UN Carbon Credits reporting and auditing, social and environmental data and disclosure scores, and CSR/Sustainability awards.
