This document is a snapshot of Nice Food, a nonprofit food truck. The truck uses a pay-what-you-can model so that anyone may eat there, regardless of their ability to pay. The chief goal of Nice Food is to lower food insecurity in its community, which will initially be Louisville, KY. The company will be an addition to the strong effort against hunger in Louisville, bringing the additional strength of mobility to the fight.

This paper is a review of the literature that examines relationships between budgetary system characteristics and employee attitudes and behaviors. Articles were selected on the basis of several criteria: (a) they present studies that empirically examine the effect of one or more budgetary system characteristics on one or more attitudes and behaviors, (b) they were published in accounting and organizational behavior journals that are common outlets for empirical budgeting research, and (c) they were published in 1995 or later. Urban economics, like all other fields of economics, is a science. A region must be identified, then dissected and analyzed, if one is to determine what gives it life. A study of Nashville, for example. reveals that it depends upon far more than country music for its economic survival.
