Researchers have demonstrated that many manufacturing managers have used successful manufacturing strategies to improve their company’s performance. Manufacturing managers search for successful strategies to implement efficient manufacturing systems because inefficient manufacturing systems can negatively affect their company’s performance. Using transformational leadership as a conceptual framework, the purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore six U.S. manufacturing managers’ strategies to implement efficient manufacturing systems to improve their company’s performance. Decreased performance from high employee turnover can result in lower organizational profitability. Business leaders of sales organizations who lack leadership strategies to reduce voluntary turnover experience high turnover rates among millennials and observe significantly lower organizational productivity and profitability. Grounded in transformational leadership theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore what strategies some business leaders in sales organizations used to reduce voluntary turnover among millennial employees. AbstractDecreased employee productivity can result in reduced organizational profitability. Call center leaders are concerned with decreased productivity as it cost call center leaders millions of dollars each year in profit loss. Grounded in leader-member exchange theory, the purpose of this basic qualitative study was to learn the employee engagement strategies nine call center managers in five different industries used to improve productivity in call centers. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and review of company documents that included process improvement guides and publicly posted annual reports. Although research shows that disengaged employees contribute to increased health and hiring costs in for-profit organizations, there is a gap in the literature concerning the relationship between organizational climate (OC) and employee engagement (EE) in nonprofit organizations (NPOs). In this study, it was hypothesized that employee answers to the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-17 (UWES-17) and OC surveys (for example, of management styles and innovation) would predict EE in a NPO.
