The Everett Massacre serves not only as an example of harassment of organized labor but also as an example of the violence which typified the I. W.W. movement in its attempt to win concessions from an unwilling industry. In order to understand the historical significance of this event and to place it in perspective, it is necessary to understand the growth of the I.
