Paraguay successfully sent its first native satellite into orbit in 2021, proving how essential and accessible the industry has become, even for developing countries. This article looks at how knowledge and technology transfer programs combined with a lower cost of entry helped Paraguay reach its first major milestone in the space industry, having its own satellite.

This thesis examines Japanese baseball and how the use of analytics and statistical research has been implemented into Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), compared to its North American counterpart, Major League Baseball (MLB). Due to the large financial implications of the MLB, teams have fully adopted the use of advanced metrics to find competitive disparities and advantages in roster construction, game strategies, and player development. Understanding the impact of culture and cultural differences is essential in negotiations. Using both Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory and the GLOBE Project’s nine cultural dimensions, this paper highlights the impact of culture in international business negotiations. After discussing the dimensions and various national attributes attributed to these dimensions, this paper highlights several important cultural strategies for firms to keep in mind when negotiating. It concludes with propositions and a discussion about how negotiators can improve their skills through an understanding and respect of cultural differences.
