The field research in the study was conducted with the housekeeping department employees of the hotel enterprises operating in the central district of İzmir in Turkey. The quantitative research method was used in the research and the convenience sampling method was used in collecting the data. The frequency analysis, difference analysis, and relationship analysis were conducted through Jamovi software. The study aimed to identify the factors that prevent tourists from participating in online co-creation activities. With this aim, the study sample was selected from the tourists who travelled to Istanbul, who did not participate in co-creation. The data were collected through the questionnaire technique, then, analyzed with descriptive and exploratory factor analysis. The findings of the study showed that three factors prevented the tourists from participating in online co-creation activities.
