This thesis focuses on broad topics concerning the field of accountancy. Primarily, the topics involve an analysis demonstrating an understanding on innovative technological developments, political changes, financial planning, professional preparation, and their effects on the accounting field, including possible changes. Information was found through online search engines, database analysis, and interviews and discussions with key informants from the accounting field. This thesis was performed in conjunction with the Honors Accountancy 420 class, where I also experienced case studies, interviews, and presentations with public accounting firms. The class was led by Dr. Vicki Dickinson, who oversaw every aspect of each particular case study. The topics covered in this thesis range from various fields and expanded my knowledge on many accounting ideas. I know for sure that each case study prepared us as students for the ever-changing accounting world as we begin to start our careers in financial accounting.

This major research paper surveys the various aspects of supply chain finance, a recent sphere of working capital management techniques, and its importance for managing small, medium, and large-sized businesses. Globalism and elimination of trade obstacles have encouraged managers to reassess their capital investment priorities. The transition of managements' focus from manufacturing, stocking, and distribution to establishing and preserving a network of multiple partners entails adopting more trust-based and inclusive financing techniques.
