El proposito de esta tesis es de examinar la intertextualidad que aparece en la novela Tunisima, de Elena Poniatowska y analizar hasta que punto ella ha usado diferentes voces. Elena Poniatowska durante diez anos recopilo material para su obra. En ella relata la vida de la fotografa y revolucionaria, Tina Modotti, durante los anos 1929 a 1942. La novela Tinisima tiene treinta y siete secciones a lo que la he divido en tres partes. Cada una de esas partes tiene que ver con la vida de los companeros de Modotti que toman mas importancia en el desarrollo de la obra. …

The aim of this study is to analyse the political aspect of three of Isabel Allende's novels and the role this has played in the development of her fiction, and investigate the way in which reality and fantasy are woven together in her stories to produce a unique style in a South American setting. La casa de los espiritus recounts the lives, loves and politics of four generations of a South American family, finally culminating in a coup d'etat, followed by military atrocities. The purpose of this thesis is to find possible feminine stereotypes in two XIX century Spanish novels, Los Pazos de Ulloa, written by Emilia Pardo Bazan, and La Regenta by Leopolda Alas "Ciarin", both considered realist or naturalists works of fiction. The analysis of the two novels is based on works with feminist perspectives regarding the way women are portrayed in fiction. Federico Garcia Lorca is considered by many as the Spanish playwright with the strongest and acutest social conscience of the twentieth century in his country, especially regarding the plight of Spanish women. In this thesis, his fight for women's rights, his understanding of their frustrations, feelings, sufferings, their social predicament in an unchanging and anachronistic society will be explored by focusing on Lorca's commitment to changing the social status quo.
