In the Age of the Enlightenment, women of nobility in Spain began to gain some authority to contribute to society. The tertulia provided women with a path into the political and social climate of Spain. This research examines the role of women in tertulias, specifically exploring primary documents from the Academia del Buen Gusto and analyzing them for their depiction of Enlightenment ideals and women. Los idiomas son parte de la identidad de los grupos indígenas, pero de todas estas lenguas indígenas, hay 13 que son vulnerables a la extinción, siete que están definitivamente en peligro de extinción, una que está gravemente en peligro y dos que están en peligro crítico. Abstract This paper analyzes the novel Todos se van (2006) by Wendy Guerra as a novel within the subgenre of the Künstlerroman, which explores the development of the young artist. Through the voice of a child and later an adolescent female narrator, the novel represents the disillusionment and suffering of a trapped generation that questions the utopian ideals it has lived. Additionally, I explore images of violence, specifically the mistreatment of children. The analysis of stance taking in discourse has several implications about the expression of the identity of the speaker by means of sentence formation consistent with patterns among members of a speech community. This study focuses on the ways in which speakers that are considered a part of the millennial generation (birth dates between 1982 and 2004) express their identity as US-born Latino heritage speakers. On the 25th of April 2015 in an interview conducted by Dr. Alejandra Jaramillo for the newspaper EL ESPECTADOR, Colombian writer Albalucía Ángel mentioned that in a warehouse in Colombia one would be able to find a hundred thousand copies of a little "secret" book published using the title of the first verse of the Colombian national anthem --Oh Gloria Inmarcesible!
