What Does Recent Research Say About The Level Of Education Of Adventist Church Leaders?, Galina Stele
Adventist Human-Subject Researchers Association
the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a global Church with 13 divisions and four attached fields. A growing number of unions and conferences makes the need for competent leadership obvious. Leadership is important for the success of any organization, and it is even more crucial for the Church that fulfills the Great Commission to bring the message about Jesus' saving power and His second coming to the world. But what is the level of education of church administrators in the Adventist Church? How well are they educated? And in what areas and institutions did they receive their education?

"In The Beginning, God Created Atoms", Samiya L. Henry
Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Symposium
Genesis 1:1 states “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” This is the defining statement in the Bible and acts as the foundation of creation and God’s power in the Christian faith. On the other hand, many scientists believe the Big Bang Theory and the discoveries made in other fields of science solely define the creation of the universe and explain life as we know it, also disproving the Christian creation story and the overall existence of God. However, the exact opposite is true; God is science.
Alone, neither of these concepts (faith and science) fully solve …

Augustine Of Hippo: A Historical Theology Evaluation, Zachary Monte
Scholar Week 2016 - present
Historical Theology Survey Critique: Augustine of Hippo evaluates how current historical theology survey texts understand and present the theology of Augustine. The texts will be examined to assess the following: the accuracy of presentation on discussed topics, the specific theological topics which Augustine addressed which are excluded in the surveys, and if there is any discernible theological bias on the part of the authors. The historical theology surveys that are focused on within this research paper include Greg Allison’s Historical Theology: An Introduction to Christian Doctrine, Justo González’s A History of Christian Thought, and Alister McGrath’s Historical Theology: An Introduction …

Religious Motivations Can Only Get You So Far: The Impacts And Limitations Of Lutheran Educational Reforms, Abigail Schipper
Young Historians Conference
Education was once reserved strictly for the few, the rich, the Catholic, and the male. Along with reforming many of the theological and political practices of 16th century Europe, the Protestant Reformation also introduced educational reforms that would enhance the literacy of the Germany States, instituted compulsory education laws, and extended said compulsory education to girls. However, these reforms were hindered by that which motivated the reforms in the first place: The reformers’ primary goal was to spread a religion, not to educate a populace. Because of this, the educational reforms mainly impacted only the upper classes and failed to …

La Princesse Adrosis Fille De L'Empereur Hadrien: Sainte Et Martyre, Laila Fares
Showcase of Faculty Scholarly & Creative Activity
